Why do people at dog parks act like they don’t see what their dog is doing?
I took my dog to “Dog Park” in San Diego and this ladies dog kept nipping at my dog. She pretended not to notice and even turned her back.
Another day a dog slung a big glump of slobber and it stuck to someones pants leg again she pretended not to notice.
also dog took a dump on the pavement near the picnic benches and again…a blind eye.

The quick answer is that some people are rude. Even people with dogs. Since it bothers you, you probably should point it out to the people, but don’t expect much more than an “Oh, sorry”. You have just embarrassed them, even if it wasn’t intentional.
People need to know what there dog is doing at all times. For the dog’s safety. I’m watching my dogs, to make sure they don’t eat something off the ground. I also watch the other dogs around mine (I have puppies), so I worry about what another larger dog might do.
Your best bet, if possible, avoid the people who appear to be just a hitching post for their dog, and who don’t pay attention to what is going on around them and their dog. It’s usually a big park…go the other way. Have fun with your dog, and you’ll find like minded people with like minded dogs…Enjoy!!
