13 year old boy starting gymnastics?
im 13 years old and i saw this awesome circus today (circ de holidays) and it was amazing but wat rly amazed me was that there was a boy about 8 in it doin gymnastics and a boy around 12 doin gymnastics with his bro (i think). he was doing flips and stuff off his bros feet (his bro looked about 17) and he was rlly good. it made me really want to give gymnastics a shot, i rlly wanna learn how to do that and be in shows like that! do u think i would be able to start at age thirteen? im not very flexible or strong and no previous experience but im willing to work at it. i also have no idea where to start or how. am i too old? a lot of things to answer i no but plz help if u can cuz i wanna give this a shot!
srry if i wasnt strraight forward enough but rlly wat i wanna no is how can/should i start and how could i get involved in progams like the one i was talking about. thx ahead of time!
I started gymnastics at 13, too! What I did was take recreational classes for a couple of months just to make sure I liked it, and then I joined the team. Gymnastics is a huge commitment I train 16 hours a week and I barely have any free time during the week days. Look around, do you know any gymnasts? Ask them about their gym and see if they have a boys team.
