Will honors and Dual Credit classes raise my GPA by a lot or not much? having lots of struggles?
I’m currently a jr. in high school and I just finished my first semester and I’m into my first week of 2nd semester right now..My cumulative GPA is about 3.2 or 3.3 currently and I set a goal to get all straight A’s during the first semester, but however life has been very tough to say the least. I’m taking an English 102 class, Algebra 2 honors, Spanish 101 and AP European History and those courses have been very tough along with chemistry and I also play basketball and practice times are late from 6:45-9:15 thats if the coach doesn’t make us run so much if he isn’t satisfied with our performances in practice. When I get home ( by the way my house is like 17 miles from home; reservation school ) I have to stretch, take a shower, eat and feed my dogs and by that time I’m extremely exhausted so its hard to focus sometimes..So if I were to persevere and get straight A’s in all my classes including the hard ones, will that like raise my cumulative GPA from a 3.3 to like a 3.5?
Wow, looks like you have a lot to deal with. I would suggest looking over your schedule again, and really think about what’s necessary to add or drop referring to classes or extra curricular activities. Research what colleges really look for and what scholarships you can get having a higher GPA. If you really motivate yourself you can get a 3.5 or even higher, earning you honors, awards, scholarships, and more for graduation. If you’re going to college, ask yourself what’s most important to you and take that into consideration. I’m sure you can achieve an cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
