What is the best way to get results from drinking protein?
I work out for about 40 min. every day. These are the exercises I do:
Bench Press, preacher biceps curl w/ curl bar, bicep dumbbell curl, hammer curl, and lateral raises. I also do an assortment of ab exercises.
Should I drink my protein shake after or during my workout? Also will drinking protein shake take away from having six pack?

Take the shake as soon as you finish your workout as that is when you need protein the most. I also drink protein shakes at times when I do not have enougth protein in my meals. If you want to keep your 6 pack then i recomend mixing your shake with water or juice but not milk.
Also, Your routine is not very good. you are over training, you onlt need to train 3 days per week, your routine is not allowing any time for your muscles to rest and grow.
You do not need to do so many bicep exercises as your biceps are small muscles and dont need many sets to grow.
I personally would change your routine to something as follows
Bench press x 4 sets
deadlift x 4 sets
squats x 4 sets
shoulder press x 4 sets
* I have not included bicep or tricep exercises as biceps are worked with deadlifts and tris with bench
** abs can be trained everyday
